NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF) – North Augusta City Council is rushing to meet Project Jackson deadlines before the end of the year.
On Monday, there’s a Special Called City Council Meeting where leaders are hoping to pass a $5,000 bond to check-off legal requirements in order to finance the project.
After the meeting, council is set to discuss the stadium rental agreement during an executive session.
Mayor Lark Jones says a date for the final reading of the Tax Increment Finance Ordinance, or T.I.F., has not been set, but could be before the end of the year.
Groundbreaking on the mixed-use development will happen shortly after the final reading is passed.
