AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – The final reading of an ordinance to raise Aiken County employee salaries will be heard in December.
If passed, nearly $685,000 dollars will be put towards increasing wages for all full-time county workers.
That’s about a 3-percent bump from their current pay.
City leader say the decision to increase wages is separate from the Department of Labor’s new overtime rule.
The final vote will be at the next county council meeting on December 13th.
