Augusta drops first game to West Georgia

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) — The Augusta Jaguars lost their first game of the season 104-86 to West Georgia on Saturday.

The Jaguars (3-1) trailed by just four points at halftime, but the Wolves (3-0) shot 72 percent from the floor in the second half to pull away.

Keshun Sherrill led Augusta with 20 points, while Deane Williams added 17.

The Jaguars return to action at Christenberry Fieldhouse against Benedict College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.
