SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – Investigators signed seven new warrants Monday for Todd Kohlhepp, including three for murder and one for kidnapping.
The suspected serial killer is now charged with murder in the deaths of Charles Carver, Megan Coxie, and Johnny Coxie. He is also charged with kidnapping Megan Coxie and three counts of possessing a weapon during a violent crime.
Deputies say Kohlhepp won’t face kidnapping charges for Charles Carver and Johnny Coxie because it is believed they went to Kohlhepp’s property voluntarily.
Authorities say Megan and Johnny Coxie disappeared after they were released from jail in December 2015. They had one child together.
Kala Brown was found inside a storage container on Kohlhepp’s property last month with a chain around her neck. Her boyfriend Charles Carver’s body was found on the property just days later.
The couple had been working for Kohlhepp previously cleaning apartments. They had been missing since August 31st.
Authorities say Kohlhepp also confessed to a quadruple slaying at a motorcycle shop in 2003 after he was granted a request to meet with his mother.
Scott Ponder, Beverly Guy, Brian Lucas, and Chris Sherbert were shot and killed inside the Superbike Motorsports shop in Chesnee.
