UPDATE: Burke County assault suspect caught in Ohio

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – A man wanted in connection with several armed robberies in Burke County has been caught in the Midwest.

26-year-old Jonathan Eubanks was arrested in Ohio Friday night.

No further details about his arrest are known at this time though.

Eubanks is accused of pistol whipping a 23-year-old woman with a handgun and then robbing her on Wednesday, November 23rd.

The suspect is also wanted in connection with another armed robbery and burglary that happened on Monday, November 14th in Burke County.

In that case, deputies say Eubanks, 28-year-old Megan Tess Churchwell and two other suspects burglarized a 35-year-old woman’s home, robbed her at gunpoint and then stole her car.

Eubanks is facing several charges including Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Hijacking a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Gun and Possession of a Gun by a Convicted Felon.

It happened on Wednesday, November 23rd.

Eubanks is charged with Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Motor Vehicle Hijacking, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Burke County Sheriff’s Office at 706-554-2133.

Eubanks is considered to be armed & dangerous.
