UPDATE: 4 arrested after counterfeit items seized at Augusta flea markets

AUGUSTA (WJBF) – Richmond County investigators have released the identity of 4 people charged for selling counterfeit merchandise at two Augusta flee markets.

Deputies have arrested 43-year-old Abu Karuma of Augusta, 28-year-old Faye Adamas of Smyrna, 65-year-old Ana Ycaza of Hephzibah and 50-year-old Leha Truong of Augusta.

Richmond County investigators say they found about $3 million worth of counterfeit items at the South Augusta Flea Market and the Barnyard.

The replica items included Timberland boots, UGG boots, Nike shoes, Jordan shoes, North face jackets, Michael Kors purses and wallets, Channel perfume, bags of NFL paraphernalia, NBA paraphernalia and NHL paraphernalia.

Investigators say the items seized from Karuma are valued at more than $10,000 dollars.

Property seized from Adamas also had a retail value of more than $10,000 dollars.

The value of the items seized from Ycaza and Truong is still unknown at this time.

Both of those flea markets are on Doug Barnard Parkway.

Richmond County deputies say they found about $3 million worth of counterfeit items at the South Augusta Flea Market and the Barnyard.

Both of those flea markets are on Doug Barnard Parkway.

Investigators say the confiscated items were mostly name-brands like Nike and Polo.

Deputies also seized about $10,000 dollars in cash and a car.

The names of the suspects have not been released at this time.
