Richmond County deputies searching for armed robbery suspects

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Richmond County investigators are looking for 2 suspects wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a South Augusta grocery store.


According to the incident report, on Friday 2 unidentified black men entered Jack’s Grocery Store with guns and told people to get on the ground.

One of the suspects stepped on a witness while he was down.

The men then told the clerk, behind the counter, to open the register and give them all the cash in the drawer.

WJBF NewsChannel 6 is working to confirm how much money was taken.

Surveillance video shows one of the suspects wearing a short sleeve green shirt, dark jeans and a black ski mask.

The second suspects was wearing a blue and gray hooded zip-up shirt, dark jeans and a red bandana covering his face.

The clerk was transported to the hospital for shock treatment.

Investigators say they tracked the suspects to an abandoned house near Jack’s Grocery Store.
