Giving Your Best: Kim Bragg

AUGUSTA, Ga.–  Realtor Kim Bragg is the Giving Your Best award winner for February.  Visit soon to read her story! In the meantime, watch the WJBF news clip above.

February has been an outstanding month for one local realtor…  and we’re not talking about home sales.  Kim Bragg was recently named Realtor of the Year by the Greater Augusta Board of Realtors.  But her involvement in the community goes way beyond helping folks find housing.    Kim is a tremendous volunteer and helped start the Boys and Girls Club of McDuffie County….and that’s why she’s being honored with the Giving Your Best award!

When Kim walked into Oliviana’s Restaurant Friday afternoon, little did she know she was being followed by a TV crew!

“Oh my gosh!!”

Her friends and co-workers had arranged this huge surprise for us to present her with the Giving Your Best award. Ginger Carrington wrote the nomination letter:

” I was telling someone earlier that Kim is the type of leader that doesn’t ask you to follow her, but she invites you on her journey, and you can’t help but to follow her!  She makes such an impression on so many lives and I decided it was time for other people to know what I know about her.”

Kim says it’s all about helping people.

“That’s what I’ve always done with my real estate and I know there are many people who are much more deserving of this than I am, but I try to do what I can.”

Her assistant says Kim is an employer who has a heart and is a trusted friend.

“Truly, I wouldn’t be where I am today if she hadn’t stayed with me. because I kept relapsing. I was- anyone else would have fired me, for months I just kept relapsing and she stuck with it. She’s been a huge part of my sobriety.”

From emotional support to physical support, this enthusiastic runner has helped differently-abled athletes train for marathons.

“I got involved with Try My Best a couple of years ago, just as a volunteer, and through that I was able to meet two very special young men who were getting ready for the Atlanta Peachtree, and so I spent some time that Spring just being out with them and I enjoyed watching them continue to run.”
