Harvard University withdraws 10 students due to social media checks

CAMBRIDGE, M.A.(WJBF– Harvard University has rescinded ten student acceptances due to what they posted on social media.

The students apparently had obscene posts.

The Harvard Crimson paper says the prospective freshmen shared sexually explicit memes and messages, some of which targeted minority groups.

Nearly 40-thousand students applied for admission to Harvard this year.

Only 5.2 percent of those were admitted.
