AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The search continues for missing Augusta teen LaTania Carwell. Missing for nearly 2 months this has now been deemed a homicide case.
A private citizen search began at 9 a.m. Thursday for the missing teen.
Pastor Angela Harden says she was called to this location because she has been praying about where the body of the missing teen might be.
Several other pastors and community members joined in on the search and went through the wooded area here at the park.
Harden says she organized the search because she was called to do so.
“A lot of times when it comes down to spiritual things, a lot of us as pastors, as leaders, it’s not something we want to do it’s something we have to do. Some thing we’ve been called to do. God called me to do it”
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is not currently planning on searching again today BUT an RCSO deputy did arrive because some items were reportedly found during this search.
No word yet on what those items were.
NewsChannel 6’s Renetta Dubose will be live from the search today at Noon.
