President Trump to formally address the nation

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WJBF) – President Trump is set to address the nation Monday, August 21, on his strategy for the war in Afghanistan.

The White House says Trump will speak tonight at 9:00 p.m. from Fort Myer in Arlington, Virginia.

Trump and his national security team met Friday to reach agreement on a strategy.

This will be Trump’s first formal address to the nation as President.
