AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Richmond County Coroner has identified the victim of a deadly house fire in September.
68-year-old Arnold Clifford Johnson Sr. was found by the fire department while putting out the fire.
He was identified by his fingerprints.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:30 a.m. on September 7th.
The fire has been ruled as accidental.
UPDATE: AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Fire crews were on the scene of a deadly house fire that happened in Augusta, Ga. at 12: 39 a.m. Thursday on the 1900 block of Hopie Road.
According to the Richmond County Sherriff’s Office, there was at least one subject killed in the fire.
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen says crews were called to the scene at 12:30 a.m. and the subject was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m.
The subject’s autopsy will be done at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, (GBI) Crime Lab and they will have to use dental records to identify the subject.
