Commissioners to meet soon to discuss funding cuts for local non-government agencies

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Commissioners are also considering cutting funding for non-government agencies.

This includes the Lucy Craft Laney Museum, the Augusta History Museum, and the Arts Council.

It would cut even more funding to organizations like Project Access– a medical treatment program.

They would lose 90 percent of their funding.

The commission will vote on Tuesday, Oct.3rd during their meeting.
