CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WSPA) — Soon after Jerry Richardson officially announced plans to sell the Carolina Panthers franchise, a rapper and mogul expressed his interest in the team.
Sean “Diddy” Combs announced on social media that he wants to buy the Panthers.
Diddy also announced on Instagram that he would be the “best NFL owner” and plans to sign Colin Kaepernick to the team.
Richardson announced Sunday that he will sell the team following the 2017 season.
Richardson, 81, said in a letter posted to the team’s website that it’s time for new ownership.
The announcement comes amid an investigation into allegations of workplace misconduct against Richardson.
