More than 2K flights canceled due to powerful winter storm

NEW ENGLAND, BOSTON (WJBF) – This powerful storm is having an impact on the East Coast as it heads for New England, Boston.

More than two thousand flights have been canceled for Jan. 4.

Officials are urging residents to stay home so crews can clear streets and roads of what could be as much as a foot or more of snow in some places.

Boston could get as much as 14 inches.
