Boil water advisory lifted for Edgefield County

EDGEFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – A boil water advisory for Edgefield County has been lifted.

Residents of Maher St., Kennedy Dr., Murphy St., Miller St., Blanch St., St. Mary St., and Amelia Dr. are no longer affected by the waster leak on Friday.

The County Water and Sewage Authority says after intense flushing of the distribution system, the sampling indicated the water was safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.


EDGEFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – A boil water advisory has been set for parts of Edgefield County

All resident on Maher St, Kennedy Dr ,Murphy St, Miller St, Blanch St, St Mary St and Amelia Drive are asked to vigorously boil their water for one minute before use.

Water service is in the process of being restored and should be restored shortly.
